I have tried to change my email address a couple times & it is wierd. I get a page that says an activation will be send, but it never is and then it won't let me back on the boards.

I don't know anything about technology, unfortunately.  I'm sure someone will be able to help you out, though!

Hey Michael,
Different topic, same subject, so I just decided to use this thread. Is there a way to make our email addresses private, yet still allow people to email us? Just wondering if they are subject to spam-scanning by bots the way they are set up now... ?

Your email and IM info is automatically hidden from guests, but if you want I can change the email setting so people have to send you an email through a form (unfortunately there's no way to have the form and a visible address at the same time).

I guess it's okay as long as it's only viewable by registered members...

It should be fine, and you can always hide it in your profile (under "Account Settings") if you want.
