Topics marked as "Unread" after you post in them
« on: August 2, 2008, 12:08:26 PM »
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue besides me... when I post in a thread and then return to the category index, the icon next to that thread is marked with the "New Post" icon instead of the "No new posts" icon. If I click back into the thread and then immediately return to the topic index, the "No new posts" icon shows up.

Anybody else experience this?

I've noticed some silly things too. Like now... you (Holly) made a new thread called "making bread" and I see it on the main page, but when I clicked to go see it, it wasn't there. Also, the board was telling me that DHDave posted the other day, but there was not a post where it said it was. Weird.

I've never really paid attention to that, Holly.

Holly moved that thread to the "Videos" category, but yeah, it no longer appears where it was originally posted (not even marked as moved) so if you don't know where it was moved to you're lost.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who saw that. I thought I was going more crazy then normal because I was sure it said DHDave posted again

I've noticed that when this happens (a thread gets moved but still links to the old forum), if you click on the "Last Post" words straight from the front page, it will take you to the correct thread in the new location.

Yeah, that's cool... but still confusing.

I've also noticed that it marks posts as new after you post in them (at least sometimes). Hopefully that will get fixed soon :)
