i've quit counting how many i've reported this year for it...i mentioned it to jay at the last concert in april but he said a 3rd party runs the site so he didn't know anything on how to fix the issue

The only real thing I can do to help prevent spam is install an addon to prevent new users from posting links. Banning IP addresses doesn't usually do much good as they'll just find another IP to spam from (plus it's fairly easy to change your IP). I'll look into that when I upgrade the forum in the coming days.
