Here is my own personal review on Downhere's newest CD. I would like to know what you all think. I wrote this for my niece's magazine that she does every two months. I asked if I could write reviews from my favorite artists. She said that I could so I did and here it is.
This is the first review that I have ever written. I love this CD, it is one of the best Cd's that I own. Every song is awesome. This is their sixth CD, their last CD is a collection of Christmas songs written in Downhere's own unique style. Their new CD is a twelve song masterpiece of awesome songs beginning with the song Only The Beginning. The first single that came out for the radio is a song that deals with wanting us to rediscover the love of our Savior, Jesus. The song is called Let Me Rediscover You. This is one of my favorite songs along with Holy, Rest, Reveal The Kingdom, Only The Beginning. The song Reveal The Kingdom ends with the group singing in Latin, the words are translated grass withers, the flowers fade but the word of the Lord stands forever. The main songwriters are Marc Martel and Jason Germain. They also take turns in leading the songs, sometimes they sing together. They are both amazing singers who don't get enough appreciation. There are four guys in the band, there is Glenn Lavender who plays the bass and Jeremy Theissen who is the drummer. All four of the guys are from Canada, they have been a band since 1999. They met in college, except for Glenn who they met in Florida. Every song on this CD talks about God's faithfulness. I give this CD five stars out of five, I highly recommend this CD, you won't be disappointed. They are four of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I have had the honor of meeting them twice. I have seen them live four times now. I really hope that you will like what I have written, I would like to have your opinion on how I can improve in my writtings for future reviews that I might write.
