I've seen TAN a couple of times and really liked them. They were at Atlantafest this summer on the same day as our guys and I saw them in Houston last year. But they don't get involved with the audience after the concert. Maybe our guys are the only ones who really do that on a regular basis?!? Kinda like Third Day, and they are coming to Houston really soon, but my fav will always be DH!!!  :D

I have a feeling that our guys are the exception as far as getting involved with the audience and fans. I don't think most groups are that interactive in person. That's just ONE of the MANY reasons I love DH!!! I hope they always stay hospitable with us...

The level of interactivity I think also depends on the fans. It does start with the band being willing to interact, but if you don't have great fans, I would assume it makes things harder. I say this because you brought up Third Day and I know they have a fiercely loyal fanbase, much like ours in many respects; people who are behind them 100%, travel all over the place to see them, gather together with other fans at shows, have conversations with the band on a first name basis, and are involved in their lives outside of concert venues. Without such enthusiasm and encouragement, I imagine it would be harder to give of yourself so much. Some people just go through meet & greet lines to collect an autograph, just to say they have a souvenir from the "famous person onstage," then they leave and don't think much about that "famous person" ever again. Not to discount someone walking up and saying, "Hey, you did a really great job! I'm happy I came," then leaving. Even if you never saw that person again, it's good to know they appreciated it at least a little. But if that's all there was....I don't want to say I know how other people would feel, but if I was in their position, I would wonder if what I was doing was good for more than momentary entertainment.

I love Tenth Avenue North, I have yet to see them live.  I would also love to see Sanctus Real one day.  I will be seeing Third Day for the fourth time on the 29th of January.  I will also be seeing Downhere and Starfield.  I spent two days with Third Day in Nashville in 2006.  I am starting to like their music again, I couldn't listen to them for a while.  I love their song Trust In Jesus and Children of God.  I am really looking forward to see Downhere again.

We're going to be seeing Tenth Ave North for the first time in February. They'll be on the Rock and Worship Roadshow, with Mercy Me, Sidewalk Prophets, and several others. I really like the music, and how their songs mean something, so I'm looking forward to it.

Marjan, I'd like to see Sanctus Real, too! And Starfield. I haven't heard anything from them in a year or so, though.  :(
