The whole idea is a tribute band, so, in essence, it is Marc's band.

'His band' is referring to downhere. If you read the first post in this thread it is referring to an award show they were performing at in Canada. I think the article was poorly written and caused confusion because they mention the QE right before stating that "Marc and his band will rock the audience with classic Queen songs". That sentence shouldn't have been the last one. The QE tribute band is not Marc's band and had nothing to do with the award gala in Canada.
