Hands down, my favorite song is Iliad.

Oh, you like "Iliad." Why does that not surprise me?  ;) As a fellow lover of words, that one's high on my list. Last I heard, Marc still hadn't read The Iliad, so it still surprises me how perfectly that song fits with the epic since his knowledge of it is definitely less than intimate.

I actually think I want to give a kid, a boy kid, Iliad as a middle name one day. We'll see if that happens.

To this day, one of my favorite (and biggest surprises when I saw them live the first time) things about their live show is their quotation of Iliad during the bridge of the live version of Hope Is Rising.

It seems they have shelved Hope is Rising.  They haven't played it on the current tour or when I saw them at a festival in August.  The one you definitely want to see live now is Reveal the Kingdom.

Doesnt surprise me. With 3 artists on this tour, they had to abbreviate their set and put a focus on the new album.

I've seen Youtube vids of Reveal but hope to see it live one day!

I seem to have been easily pinned  ;)

"Iliad" would be a pretty epic name (quite literally, ha), not that I intend to steal your idea! I have a name picked out for a son I would one day like to have: Milo Naphtali. "Milo" means soldier, and "Naphtali" means struggle. So his name would mean "the soldier's struggle," a great depiction of our daily wars against the "principalities of darkness in the unseen world" (Eph. 6:10-18)

I like that name!

Realistically, I have far too many names picked out to actually use on my own children. Unless I unexpectedly get married in the next few years and start having kids like the Duggars.  :o So I've about decided that I need to write a story. Or stories.

Precisely! Save your favorite for your future child, and give the rest of your cool names to your characters!

Ha-ha! Or that! My cat's name is Mira (Mee-ra), which is quite a fancy name. But my family and I never call her that. She's mostly referred to as "The Rag." (Because she's a ragamuffin breed, not because she looks like a rag, ha-ha)

Asking what my favorite Downhere songs are is like asking me what my favorite color is. It constantly changes.
This is only the beginning. Press ahead, forget what's behind.
